Being an import-dependent country for high-tech products and services makes use vulnerable in certain key areas, with the defense industry being the most prominent example. The ability to develop high-tech products and services is a key competitive advantage for all societies during the technological revolution that is currently underway.
To this end, the Foundation focuses on two areas: educational projects and tech start-up support schemes. The first includes activities related to formal technical education and project-based workshops for primary and high school students. The tech start-up support schemes are made up of various support programs and grants provided to young tech start-ups in Turkey. These include pre-incubation, incubation, and acceleration programs, in addition to consultancy support and access to angel-investor networks.
